I particularly enjoyed the out door tables for sitting outside in the evening as the weather was excellent. The selection at breakfast was superb especially as my sister had to watch her diet for salt and gluten. Our room (conventional) was spacious and well appointed. Coffee available 24 hours was a great bonus.
Going next door for breakfast is a problem in the rain. We had umbrellas, but not every body brings them on a holiday and we were not aware that our room was not in the same building as breakfast.
It was not a true bed and breakfast, but was close enough with the best continental breakfast available. It was two beautiful adjoining houses with very nice decor and pretty surroundings. Public transportation was only down the block in one direction and the Catholic church in the other. Food was a very easy walk. It was a very nice stay
no complaints at all
It was good value for money. Comfortable, convenient, free wi fi and good breakfast
I had asked for a contemporary room but I got a victorian room which I didn't like not because the room wasn't nice I just don't like the victorian decor.
A nice, clean and comfortable B&B in Cambridge, 5 min walking distance from the Red Line stop; fairly good breakfast, but the coffee wasn't excellent, at least to our italian taste. The manager was very friendly and helped us out with a little problem with the reservation.
Nice breakfast. A pleasant 10 minute walk to Davis Square and another 15 minutes to Tufts.
My room was in a different building from reception/breakfast - this was not really a problem in good weather, but would be less than ideal in the rain/snow/cold.
A very well kept B & B on Boston's Mass. Ave. A 5 min walk from Davis station on the red line. Wifi works, breakfast is standard. I especially liked the very friendly talk we had when I arrived.
I liked the hospitality. I don't really have anything else nice to say about this experience.
The room was way too small for $189 a night. It was way away from anything. There was absolutely no parking there. Privacy was an issue because every little room was too close. I was very disappointed.
Staff were friendly and helpfull. The hotel had a lot more character than the normal chain. Free internet access and a PC for guests were useful.
Everything was lovely; each member of the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The Inn is conveniently located within walking distance of Davis Square and the "t".
A receptionist by the name of Jong could be more polite and courteous. I was charged twice for the same stay amnt of $504.93. Some one at Cambridge House did notice I had been charged twice and credited my card but unfortunately the amount I was credited was only $480.31, leaving a shortfall of $24.62, which I have requested the Credit Card Company to dispute.
I liked very little about this inn and will certainly not go back. The decor was outdated but my main complaint is that the service was non- existent to verging on offensive. This inn is extremely overpriced and I imagine only survives on account of its location.
comfortable, quiet, stress-free, friendly and convenient
It was a good place to stay in Cambridge. A good location with convenient parking a a good breakfast.
Imazingly quiet considering being on Mass.Ave. Good security. Lovely bed, slept so well I woke up as though at home! Extremely accomodating staff. Cute little "greeter" in the morn on Sunday. Loved it. Great coffee and a very nice morning service for breakfast. Receieved exactly what I hoped for.
I have a suggestion;black hand towels and washc Oths in black. You will save a crapload of women wiping their makeup off and ruining white towels. Or too be more "cool" , do em in brown;same difference. It also is something you/we (as the in the industry of accomodation.......) can also tweak as a cool thing to do for your customers as well as helping you in the not-staining of make-up from towels. It is amazing the gross eye-makeup stains... You can have a cute little basket with the rolled up dark towels, a small bottle of facial oil such as bio-oil (not a promo, I use this) I just know how I have traveled and towels are often an issue. And I have seen the eye-make up stain white towels.
Muted atmosphere, quiet and intimate. Hotel services discreet and very thorough/professional. Comfortable, very clean and well-kept room. Beautiful old structures.
One chair, comfortable, for reading, would be nice. Plenty of room.
